The Last Stop on The Loop for The Classic Connection

What happens when one half of a great tag team signs a long term exclusive contract? Buddy Royal has resigned from his coaching position in his hometown of Santa Maria, CA to become a full time member of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The Classic Connection defends the Gold Rush Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships.

Shapiro has been training with former WWE Superstar Ezekiel Jackson in Redwood City, CA. Levi Shapiro aligns himself with a manager and YouTube sensation Brian Zane for the time being.

Levi Shapiro is on his way to becoming a top superstar at All Pro Wrestling, while Buddy Royal steps foot in the same company as top talent like Katsuyori Shibata, Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada, and Gedo. California’s old school tag team is evolving.

“Unorthodox” Levi Shapiro shows off to Brain Zane as Buddy Royal distracts the referee.

Misaligned double team spots fractured the close bond that was created through tens of thousands of miles traveled by The Classic Connection.

The All Pro Wrestling Universe witnessed one of, if not the most devastating break ups in the history of professional sports entertainment. After hugging it out, seemingly everything was fine until Levi Shapiro pulled back and hit Buddy Royal square in the jaw. The punch rattled the Pacelli Center in Daly City, CA.

Losing the Gold Rush Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships must have made it a lot worse.

“Ace” Buddy Royal exits All Pro Wrestling.

As of right now, there are two shows this coming weekend where both Shapiro and Royal will be a part of: The Best of the West show in Santa Cruz on Saturday, and Championship Wrestling From Hollywood’s Red Carpet Rumble on Sunday.
